The Public Employers Retirement Trust offers the following investments alternatives:
MANAGED ACCOUNT PORTFOLIOS
The Managed Account Portfolios were developed for those employees that do not feel that they have the expertise, knowledge, or time, to properly select, from the list of available investments, a portfolio that is right for them. This program provides them an easy way to participate in investing in the markets.
There are three portfolios of load-waived mutual funds tailored specifically to meet certain goals and objectives. PERT's Board of Trustees selects one or more mutual fund families and/or independent asset managers to manage assets on a discretionary basis. Using the concept of asset allocation, each portfolio is tailored to meet the needs of investors based on risk tolerances and investment objectives. The three portfolios are Conservative, Moderate, and Aggressive. As compensation for services rendered, such management groups are paid advisory fees not to exceed the rate of 1.5% per year of assets under management. These fees are deducted quarterly from the portfolios.
